Let it never be said that Katy B Plummer and Kuba Dorabialski are ones to rest on their laurels...or rest for that matter!
Opening on Thursday September 1st, they will both have new works in a group show in Verge Gallery, Sydney.
"Curated by Madeleine Preston, Stuck In The Mud presents an archive for a revolution that has already ocurred. Loosely based on early 20th Century Russian agitprop or agitation propaganda, Stuck In The Mud, includes works created by current and past members of the Sydney ceramics studio kil-n-it, along with textiles and audio video works from Eloise Rankine, Ashley Scott, Katy B Plummer, Kuba Dorabialski and Bev Shroot. Mimicking different revolutionary art and craft objects Stuck In The Mud stretched the definition of craft and art."
We wish we could be there! Have a great opening night guys!
We would also like to congratulate Artbank Australia on acquiring a copy of Katy B Plummer's beautiful video work CAT'S CRADLE: FEVER DREAM. Great job! :)
