From June 27th to July 1st, Paula Jaime and Violeta Ortega Navarrete will open the doors of their studio to share their residency experience and the work they have developed during their time at Tangent Projects studios.

Violeta will showcase textiles and objects that embody meditative repetition. Through these pieces she will create a space for inner exploration and self-discovery and invite visitors to pause, contemplate and engage in self-reflection. Thereby allowing us to perceive the language of unity and our place within it, while appreciating the subtle beauty found in the simple things that surround us.

In contrast, Paula will present a series of playful ceramic objects. These pieces will revive a personal journey the artist undertook, which prompted profound contemplation on themes such as solitude, migration, the body as our primary home, and the significance of intimate objects as companions during times of uncertainty.

Del 27 de junio al 1 de julio, Paula Jaime y Violeta Ortega Navarrete abrirán las puertas de su estudio para compartir su experiencia de residencia y el trabajo que han desarrollado.

Como resultado de su tiempo en Tangent Projects, Violeta mostrará textiles y objetos que encarnan una repetición meditativa, invitando a los visitantes a detenerse y contemplar, fomentando la reflexión interna. A través de estas piezas, se creará un espacio para la exploración interna y el autodescubrimiento, permitiéndonos percibir el lenguaje de la unidad y nuestro lugar dentro de ella. Mirar la sutileza en lo simple que nos rodea.

Por otro lado, Paula presentará una serie de objetos lúdicos en cerámica. Estas piezas revivirán un viaje personal que la artista emprendió, que desencadenó una profunda reflexión sobre temas como la soledad, la migración, el cuerpo como nuestro hogar principal y el significado de los objetos íntimos como compañeros durante momentos de incertidumbre.
